During the summer of 2017, I began my first job as a retail sales associate at Cracker Barrel. I worked part-time there until it was time for me to move away for college in the summer of 2018. I would have loved to continue working at Cracker Barrel and transfer to one near New Mexico Tech, but unfortunately the closest location is over an hour away! Luckily I was able to return to Cracker Barrel during the summer and winter breaks of 2019 and work while I was visiting San Antonio.

Many of my shifts were during peak dining times such as weekends at lunch time or weekdays at brunch. A majority of my job involved the handling of customer purchases and returns, including purchases of meals and to-go orders. When I wasn't operating the cash register, I was on the sales floor interacting with customers. I also organized or restocked the clothes, food, and other neat items in the store when necessary.
